Trying to detox your body in the middle of winter can be rough. Most recipes consist primarily of fresh fruit and vegetables that are out of season in the colder months. If you’re not in the mood for smoothies or can’t find fresh fruits and vegetables, don’t be discouraged. We’ve got ideas to detox after the holidays and give the new year a clean, healthy start.

Quick, healthy cleanses

Cleanse and detox programs tend to be so… extreme. They reduce what you eat and how much you eat so that you either don’t get enough nutrition or end up feeling starved all day. A good cleanse helps your body remove impurities and toxins without leaving you hungry and unhealthy.

It wasn’t easy but we found cleanses you can do in only a few days and stay healthy in the process.

Soup it up

Soups are a good way to eat throughout the day, get plenty of nutrition and feel satisfied while still purifying your system.

Post Cleanse

After a cleanse, it’s important to continue to support your body’s natural cleansing and detoxifying processes. This will prevent your organs from becoming overwhelmed and unable to handle the toxins and chemicals absorbed by your skin, in food, in the air you breath and in the water supply on a daily basis.

  • Drink a glass of water with lemon juice – water naturally flushes out toxins and the lemon gives the enzymes in your liver a boost.
  • Add a probiotic to your supplement routine – 70% of your immune system resides in your gut. Adding good bacteria support a healthy gut improving your immune system and eliminating waste.
  • Eat clean on a daily basis – while you can’t eliminate all the toxins in our environment, you can reduce your exposure by eating organic, hormone free, real food. If you don’t put junk into your body then your organs have less to work to eliminate.

Detox gradually by adding tea to your day

Keep eating real, nutritious food and add teas throughout the day to detox your body more gradually, simply and safely.

You can also take tumeric as a supplement in Bounceback. The Curcumin in tumeric has been proven to be both a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It can also improve your brain function and reduce your risk of heart disease.

Wash away toxins

Sometimes a relaxing bath is the perfect antidote to a hectic day. Make it even better by mixing up soothing salts and oils to pull out impurities while you enjoy a good book or simply rest in comforting luxury.
