When it reinvent, we decided to leave this one recipe up since it was our most popular, helpful to people with adrenal fatigue and not found many places elsewhere.
Looking at the ingredients, this adrenal fatigue recovery soup may not seem like the most delicious soup ever. But once you try it, you’ll quickly be won over.
Not only is this soup delicious, it supports and restores you’re adrenal system. Did you know that something like 80% of adults suffer from adrenal fatigue at some point? Our body uses adrenaline for more than just extreme fight or flight responses we read in books. Mental and emotional stress can also tap into adrenaline to help us get through the day or a particularly stressful situation. The daily chaos of young children or a stressful job can deplete our adrenal glands unless we replenish our body through good nutrition.
We found this recipe a few years ago from Dolores S. Downey who gave seminars on “Balancing body chemistry with nutrition.” It’s a great way to start feeling restored and energized. Sometimes we add shredded chicken and rice noodles to make it a bit more filling.
Adrenal Fatigue Recovery Soup
- 16 oz can green beans
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium zucchini sliced
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 cup tomato juice
- 1 cup filtered water
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. raw honey
- 1 tsp. paprika
- Add to crockpot or soup pot and simmer for 1 hour
