In the mood for something a little sweet? These healthy chocolate chips and clusters snack will satisfy that craving!

Raw cacoa powder is not only incredibly delicious, it’s full of important minerals like magnesium and iron. Magnesium is a fantastic mineral that can relax muscles, lower blood pressure and improve your cardiovascular system.

There are almost too many good things to say about coconut oil. More than just providing a rich, creamy texture, the medium-chain fatty acids are a great source of quick energy without a blood sugar crash. If you add almond flour it has a slightly grainy texture but a wonderful nuance of flavor. Chia seeds have a smooth texture and are a great source of calcium and omega-3 fatty acids. And coconut sugar is packed with beneficial minerals like iron, zinc, potassium and calcium. A hint of cinnamon adds depth to the flavor.

Adapted from Mannatech’s TruHealth recipes, you can combine the ingredients either into thin, crispy chips or bite-size clusters.

Either way, these are perfect when you need a bite of something sweet. Especially if you’re transitioning and want to decrease your sugar cravings!

Healthy Chocolate Snack

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Yield: 4 clusters or 6 chips


  • 2 teaspoon raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 3/4 teaspoon coconut sugar
  • 4 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons almond flour (optional)


  1. Combine cacao powder, cinnamon, coconut sugar, chia seeds and almond flour in small mixing bowl.
  2. For Chips
  3. Melt coconut oil slightly and add to dry mixture
  4. Spoon onto wax paper. It'll be a little liquid but not so bad that it won't form little pools of chocolate.
  5. Freeze for at least 10 minutes
  6. Store in fridge
  7. For Clusters
  8. Add room temperature coconut oil to dry mixture. It will seem a bit thick but work out nicely once done.
  9. Spoon onto wax paper and freeze for at least 10 min
  10. Store in fridge
